Wine 101
A basic introduction to wine. Includes introduction to all major grape varietals, an overview of major growing regions and countries in the world. An overview of tasting method, and wine evaluation, and of course a sampling of 6-8 different wines.
Gin- A Bouquet
A good friend of mine once said, “Any drink made with vodka is a far more interesting drink if gin is used.” A tasting of a variety of gins made around the world, including Holland, England and right here in Tennessee!! Also, a history of one of the world’s most popular spirits.
That’s a Mighty Fine Brew
A lesson on beer and the brewing process. Taste through a selection of many different styles of beer. Learn about the origin of beer, and why different countries produce different styles. Beer styles include: Pilsner, IPA, Belgian Strong Ale, Imperial Stout, Hefeweizen and more!! This might be my personal favorite class.
Me Gusta Tequila!!
Tequila, the legendary spirit from our dear southern neighbors. This class is not for the faint of heart, a complete history of tequila & mezcal production in Mexico. A tasting of some of the finest tequilas, including blanco, reposado & anejo. Viva tequila para siempre!!!
Wildcard!!
A class about my favorite aspects of each class. Including my personal favorites of each spirit, and of course my favorite beers. A guaranteed good time, with a large question and answer session. Pick my brain about anything involving wine, let loose and party a little also!!
Northern Italy
An overview of the DOCG classification system, and a sampling of some of northern Italy's fabulous red wines(and possibly some whites). Enjoy learning the history of Italian winemaking, and some of the stars of Italian wines. Wines like Barolo, Amarone & Pinot Grigio will be featured. Along with some others from Northern Italy.
Southern & Central Italy
An overview of the DOCG classification system, and a sampling of some of southern Italy's fabulous red wines(and possibly some whites). Enjoy learning the history of Italian winemaking, and some of the stars of Italian wines. Wines like Chianti, Brunello, and some
Rhone Valley
An overview of the fantastic wines coming from the Rhone Valley. If you are into wines that provide a tremendous value, look no further than the Rhone Valley. Try some of the fantast Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre & White Blends coming from this delectable area of France.
Loire Valley
One of the coolest growing areas in France. Taste some varietals you might not be familiar with. Among the wines sampled are Sancerre, Chinon and more!! This class is one of my favorites to do..
Bordeaux
No wine class series is complete without a trip to Bordeaux. Enjoy learning about a great winemaking regions and trying left and right bank wines, learning about the famous classification system.
Burgundy & Beaujolais
Enjoy a lesson on the Burgundy Cru system, and taste few different Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from their original home. Also enjoy some Gamay from the Beaujolias. This is one of my favorite classes, because the wine is so delicious!
Viva Espana!
One of my absolute favorite wine classes, learn about the different DO's in Spain, and some new, upcoming growing regions. Taste some of the best(and most affordable) wine in the world, from Albarino to Tempranillo(and my favorite Garnachas.) If you are a foodie, this class is for you, these wines are all excellent with so many different foods.
Tiny Bubbles!
Always the most popular class, enjoy some fine Champagne and Sparkling Wine from all over the world. We will learn about Italian, Spanish, French, and domestic Sparkling Wine production, the different varietals and methods.
South of the Border
A fantastic run through the wines from our friends to the South(and I don’t mean Mexico). An overview of the wines from Chile & Argentina, and possibly some more South American countries. Come see why this is an ever expanding wine market.
